RANGERS have been dealt a major injury blow as Kemar Roofe is ruled out of action.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has this morning revealed that he will be without the striker for at least the next three games.

It is expected that the Jamaica international will miss Motherwell, RB Leipzig and Celtic away with the knee injury.

It's a bitter blow for the Ibrox club, with the striker stepping up well to fill Alfredo Morelos' boots - who has been ruled out for the season.

He recently scored a hat-trick away at St Mirren, as well as sealing the winner against Braga in the Europa League last week.

It's not all bad news on the injury front for Rangers, though.

Van Bronckhorst also confirmed that Aaron Ramsey will not be out for as long as first feared.

The Dutchman reckons the attacking midfielder could be back in his squad for the return leg against Leipzig, which will be played at Ibrox.

He told the media: "Ramsey we will hopefully have him back around the Leipzig home game.

We also had a problem with Roofe after the game with his knee, for him it is the same out for some weeks and hopefully returns around the Leipzig home match."

As well as Morelos being ruled out for the campaign, Rangers also have Filip Helander and Ianis Hagi on the treatment table.
