RANGERS star Kemar Roofe is working hard in the gym as he steps up his recovery from injury.
The striker is currently out of first team action due to a calf injury.
The 29-year-old has yet to team up with his Gers teammates in Portugal because of this.
Roofe joined the club in 2020. He's scored 34 goals in 72 appearances for the Ibrox side.
He played a major role in helping the club achieve reaching the final two in the Europa League last term, as the Jamaica forward stepped up to the plate in the absence of Alfredo Morelos.
With Antonio Colak now in the building, he faces extra competition for a starting place along with Morelos.
While he has yet to begin proper pre-season training, footage has emerged of Roofe putting in the hours in the gym to enable him to return sooner rather than later.
A clip posted on Instagram by andyrphysio last week shows Roofe doing some calf exercises.

The striker can be seen using a step, doing one-legged calf-raises with a 20KG squat bar to help build the appropriate strength back up in his muscle.
It has not yet been confirmed by manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst when fans should expect to hear some more positive news regarding Roofe's injury.
