Rangers are in advanced talks to sign Nicolas Raskin, according to a report.

The Belgian midfielder has been linked heavily with a move to Ibrox in recent months.

The 21-year-old's name was first mentioned in connection with a transfer to Rangers back when Giovanni van Bronckhorst was in charge of the club.

He was dumped from the Standard Liege first team following a breakdown in contract negotiations in recent months.

Raskin looks set to leave this month. Now, it appears his destination could be Glasgow.

He's out of contract this summer and the Belgian club are keen to sell in the next two weeks.

Ligue 1 sides Marseille and Toulouse appeared to be the frontrunners for his signature.

However, journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports Michael Beale's team are in "advanced discussions" with an update expected in the days ahead.

He took to Twitter: "Things are moving for Nicolas #Raskin! Concrete interest and advanced discussions with #RangersFC. More info and details in the next few days…"
