Jason Cummings appears to have bid an emotional farewell to Central Coast Mariners.

The Scot held back the tears after netting a superb hat trick to help his side to A-League glory Down Under.

In what was his last game for the club, Mariners defeated Melbourne City 6-1 in the Grand Final of the competition.

The former Rangers and Hibs man opened the scoring in the first half before adding a further two to his tally after the break, both of which were from the spot.

The 27-year-old is the top target of two Indian Super League teams in the form of Mumbai City and ATK Mohun Bagan.

They are set for a transfer tussle to see who gains the services of the striker, who will then become one of the highest-paid players in India.

Cummings admitted in a pre-match interview that the final would be his 'last dance' for his current side.

And it certainly couldn't have gone any better for him.

Speaking to Australian TV channel 10 Football, he said: "The last dance man. I don't know what happened. We just beat the champions. They won the league, great team and we just beat them 6-1.

"But I'm not surprised. The team we've got - the hunger, the togetherness, the family, the gaffer - wow. What a journey, man.

"I've been here a year-and-a-half and the gaffer changed my life. My career was spiralling out of control and I've come here and I've just fell in love with the Coast. This team, honestly wow. I'm lost for words."

Heaping praise on manager Nick Montgomery, who took a chance on him when he left Dundee, Cumdog said: "I can't think them enough", Cummings added. "On the pitch and off the pitch, I've never experienced anything like it in my life.

"I've never had a manager belive in me like that and I'm just glad I repaid him today, hat-trick in the Grand Final.

"And we're going to party tonight, I'll tell you that."
