It seems Rangers will face some stiff competition in order to sign Malik Tillman this summer.

It has been reported that two Premier League clubs will aim to rival the Ibrox club over the transfer of the American international.

The Daily Mail states that Brighton and Brentford are both interested in signing the 20-year-old.

Of course, Rangers have first refusal on striking a deal with Bayern Munich for the playmaker as part of their loan move from the season just past.

It's been said that the German giants want at least £5million for Tillman.

But should the player decide he doesn't want a return to Ibrox, then it will then be open to a transfer tussle between any other interested parties.

The USA star spent this season on loan at Rangers and made a big impact during his time in Glasgow.

He scored 12 goals for the Light Blues and earned himself the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award last month.

Michael Beale has certainly made it no secret that he would like to have Tillman in his squad next year as he aims to deliver success back to Rangers.

Speaking recently, Beale revealed discussions over a possible deal were still ongoing.

He said: "It is all still ongoing in the background as well. Me and Malik are in a great place on a personal level. He's been brilliant for the club and I think brilliant for me in my time here.

"He's a player I think has a really high ceiling - as high as anyone I've worked with in my time here at Rangers.

"There are areas of his game that he certainly has to brush up on but that's why he's come on loan."
