Should the Dens Park pitch pass its 11am inspection then Rangers will venture up to Dundee with three points the objective.

Philippe Clement's men have the opportunity to reclaim top spot in the Premiership table and move two points clear of Celtic.

With Ridvan still unavailable, Connor Goldson struggling for form and Abdallah Sima and Rabbi Matondo netting from the bench at the weekend, will we see personnel changes?

Our writers select their starting XIs for the clash.

Philippe Clement surprised a few people with his selection on Sunday and it would be no shock if the Belgian mixes it up once again at Dens Park. Whatever team Clement picks, he needs every player to perform against Dundee.

That wasn’t the case at Ibrox and the likes of Tom Lawrence, Fabio Silva and Scott Wright may have to settle for spots on the bench. Connor Goldson will surely start alongside John Souttar, despite another off day in the Old Firm. Ridvan Yilmaz will be absent once again and a place for Borna Barisic would allow Dujon Sterling to add legs to the Rangers midfield. Abdallah Sima and Rabbi Matondo made a huge impression off the bench and have to feature from the off if they can get through an hour.

Cyriel Dessers deserves the spot through the middle. It will be interesting to see if Kemar Roofe features in the squad but Nicolas Raskin faces a fight to get back in after a decent cameo from Kieran Dowell.

Both Abdallah Sima and Rabbi Matondo have given the manager plenty to think about when he selects his starting line-up for this game given their contributions against Celtic on Sunday.

There is a temptation to start the pair of them but Sima is more likely to be named in the XI with Matondo making an impact from the bench, as he has done in the previous two games.

Defensively, the manager faces a huge decision. Does he preserve with Connor Goldson who has been struggling for form for quite some time or does he start Leon Balogun? It was a slight surprise to see the Nigerian replace Goldson in stoppage time on Sunday but it was the right call as he was having a torrid afternoon. Simply put, he his form isn't deserving of a starting place.

At left back, Borna Barisic should be fit and able to fill in which will allow Dujon Sterling to be moved further forward. He is best used either as a central midfielder or on the right-hand side of the front line. As much as John Lundstram is in need of a rest, it's unlikely the Scouser will be dropped so that leaves the right wing slot available for Sterling.

Tom Lawrence struggled on Sunday so Todd Cantwell should come in for the former Derby man with Fabio Silva making way for Sima on the left.
