Oliver Antman to Rangers transfer fee and timeline revealed

Head coach Russell Martin added Mikey Moore to his squad earlier this week as he completed a loan switch from Tottenham Hotspur until the end of the season.

And the Rangers Review can reveal that Antman is now set to become the latest recruit at Ibrox as Martin looks to get a deal over the line.

The Finnish internationalist is expected in Glasgow in the coming days to finalise his move. He will become the ninth new arrival at Ibrox this summer.

Martin had been eager to add further strength and depth to his wide areas following the acquisition of Djeidi Gassama from Sheffield Wednesday last month. The move for Moore was completed on Friday and Antman is now poised to put pen-to-paper.

It is understood that some details of the arrangement have still to be finalised. Rangers are hopeful of getting the deal over the line, though. Talks will continue with Go Ahead in the coming days.

The Rangers Review detailed the move for Antman on Friday following the announcement that Moore had completed his switch north of the border. That confidence is now set to be rewarded with another addition to the squad that Martin will look to lead to the Premiership title this term.

“I think now we still need more players for sure,” Martin said on Friday as he was quizzed about potential arrivals. “I think we need to strengthen a couple of really key areas. Mikey helps us a lot because it gives us something we don't have. It gives us another option and real flexibility in the top line.

“But no, I still think there will be players leaving and there'll be players joining. And I think, like I said, we have to be really willing and open for that change because I think this club's needed it and we've needed it. And now we have to be patient during it. And we are, to make sure we get the right ones in.”
