Danny Rohl's claim that Dundee United's second goal should not have stood against Rangers last night has been met with resistance.
The head coach of the Scottish Premiership giants insists there was an offside in the lead-up to Amar Fatah's wonderful solo strike, which was later cancelled out by a 98th minute penalty scored by Nedim Bajrami. Zac Sapsford and Jayden Meghoma got the other goals on the night.
The second of United's goals was where Rohl took issue with the officiating.
The German felt that Ivan Dolcek had strayed into an offside position on the right wing before firing a cross into Rangers' box, which was eventually cleared for a corner. At the resultant corner kick, Fatah scored.
"I must say before the conceded goal, the 2-1, the corner should not be allowed," Rohl said post-match. "It was a clear offside position. This player is two metres offside, and then he can make the cross of the ball.
"I think this is also part of the story. I am not looking for excuses, but I can see what we did today.
"I was not a big step, because a big step is a win, but how we played today was much, much better."
However, both Alan Hutton and Charlie Mulgrew on the punditry team working for Premier Sports last night had this to say about the gripe.

Hutton said: "That is very tight. That is not two metres. He did seem certain, but I thought it looked very tight.
"It ultimately leads to the corner, which leads to the goal. For me, it's a very tight one but they obviously thought it was onside."
Mulgrew added: "You can understand why he think it's two metres because of the angle and he is coming from a real offside position, but by the time the ball is played it's tight. You wouldn't say that was a big mistake."
