A call from Steven Gerrard was heavily influential in convincing Kyle Glasgow to join Rangers.
The 16-year-old fielded a phone call from the Liverpool and England legend aged nine during the 2019/20.
Then manager of Rangers, Gerrard spoke to the promising young kid and his family about swapping Heart of Midlothian - where his brother still plays - for Ibrox.
A boyhood Rangers fan, there wasn't much Gerrard needed to say to persuade Glasgow to make the switch.
However, it was that kind of personal touch from the football icon that shows for how long the academy product has been highly thought of.
Glasgow finally signed a professional deal with the club last week. It will run until the summer of 2028.

Rangers’ efforts to keep Glasgow have extended back several months. Former sporting director Kevin Thelwell was involved in the club’s first presentation to the player and his family before his exit from the club late last year.
Discussions, which extended into 2026, also featured a visit from Danny Rohl during one round of talks, who had already seen Glasgow first-hand training with his first team.
