Rangers travel to Rugby Park this evening with three points the objective against an in-form Kilmarnock side.

Philippe Clement's men sit proudly at the top of the Premiership but will be hoping to fare better than they did when they came up against Derek McInnes' team on the opening day of the season.

After Saturday's thumping win over Hearts, will Clement keep the same 11 for the first time since taking charge?

There is a temptation to keep the same team that bulldozed Hearts at Ibrox last weekend. That being said, however, the artificial surface means Philippe Clement may have to tinker his team.

In the backline, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Leon Balogun return to partner Connor Goldson. John Souttar has been impressive of late but his past injury record may see him sit this one out. A start for Balogun won't necessarily weaken the team and his physical attributes will be useful for balls that are being directed into the penalty area.

In midfield, Tom Lawrence may make way, for the same reason as Souttar. The pitch may not be kind to him given his previous time on the sidelines. The versatile Mohamed Diomande meanwhile is used to playing on plastic pitches and may move into the No.8 role with Dujon Sterling partnering John Lundstram at the base of midfield.

In the forward areas, despite scoring a double on Saturday, Fabio Silva may be given the nod up top with Cyriel Dessers making an impact from the bench while Ross McCausland could be a good option wide right with Diomande moving more centrally.

Rangers: Butland, Tavernier, Goldson, Balogun, Ridvan, Lundstram, Sterling, Diomande, McCausland, Cortes, Silva.

If you were picking the side purely on form, it would be a case of same again for Rangers when they head to Rugby Park. Philippe Clement has picked out some points of improvement in the aftermath of the 5-0 win over Hearts but the list of positives was lengthy and those that turned in a terrific first half performance deserve to keep their shirts for this must-win Premiership encounter.

It would be no surprise to see the Belgian boss make a couple of alterations. That is the blueprint that he has put to good use over recent weeks and he has explained the thought process to his players. Every member of the squad wants to play, but that is not always going to be possible.

Rangers have benefitted from their strength and depth recently and that will be the case against Killie. Clement has options off the bench and every player that gets on the park will have a part to play. Whatever way Clement decides to go, he will be confident that the three points will be returning to Glasgow.

Rangers: Butland, Tavernier, Goldson, Souttar, Ridvan, Lundstram, Lawrence, Diomande, Sterling, Cortes, Dessers.
